Elementor vs Divi: Which Page Builder Should You Choose?

3D illustration of two page builder panels facing off

Elementor and Divi power millions of WordPress websites, and clients ask me this question constantly: which one is better? After building 300+ sites across both, here is my honest answer — it depends on what you value most.

Ease of use

Both are visual drag-and-drop builders, so neither requires code. Elementor’s interface feels a little more modern and responsive; Divi’s all-in-one approach means fewer extra plugins to manage.

Design flexibility

Elementor wins on sheer widget variety and third-party addons. Divi wins on built-in design presets — you can launch a good-looking site faster from its layout library.

Performance

Out of the box, both add weight. With proper optimization — and this is a big part of what I do — either can score well on Core Web Vitals. The builder matters less than how the site is built.

Pricing

Elementor Pro is a yearly subscription per site (or higher tiers). Divi is a yearly or lifetime payment covering unlimited sites. For a single business site the difference is small; for many sites Divi’s lifetime deal is hard to beat.

My recommendation

If you want maximum flexibility and plan to extend the site over time, I usually suggest Elementor. If you want to launch fast with beautiful presets and simple pricing, Divi is excellent. Either way, I build on both every week — tell me about your project and I’ll recommend the right one for you.
